We are excited to host our 3rd Quarter 2026 meeting at Hotel Carmichael in Carmel, IN! We are currently finalizing our speaker lineup and will continue our AI Pulse series. The full agenda will be shared soon.

Based on positive feedback, we’ll be bringing back our Kahoot! quizzes in a fun and engaging way. We will also provide an update on our chapter’s progress toward the 2026 goals. As always, the day will be filled with valuable education, meaningful networking, and a strong return on your investment of time and membership.

This quarter, we’ve introduced a separate complimentary registration for the networking event. You only need to sign up for this if you are not attending the Education Day. If you are registered for Education Day, your networking attendance is already included—no need to register twice. We appreciate your patience as we continue improving our website to better meet our needs.

Leslee L. Fritz, CTA
Business Travel Sales Manager
Leslee L. Fritz is the business travel sales manager for AHC+Hospitality in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is a skilled professional with over 25 years of experience in hotel and convention sales management. Her role with AHC+Hospitality allows her to help the travel manager make the best choice for company travel needs.
In each of the past five years, Leslee has increased corporate travel revenues by 15% on average. Her past experiences include a successful record of building sponsorship and advertising revenue bases that resulted in high level of customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. With a proven ability to balance priorities, Leslee meets tight deadlines, and exceeds organizational goals. She thrives in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
Along with the team at the Amway Grand Plaza, Leslee helped successfully convert the independent hotel to a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in December 2015.
Leslee has been a member of the American Business Women's Association, Destination Marketing Association International, the Society of Government Meeting Professionals, INFORUM, Rotary International, and served on the selection committee for ATHENA Grand Traverse, Membership and Ambassador Committees for Meeting Planners International Michigan Chapter (MMPI), nominated for the MMPI Finest Sales Professional Award, and was awarded the Certified Tourism Ambassador™ (CTA) designation in 2014. She is currently the vice president for the Michigan Business Travel Association (MBTA,) the state chapter of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA.)
Since joining Michigan Business Travel Association, Leslee helped create an Ambassador role to introduce guests and new members to others, allowing them to feel more comfortable joining in at meetings and events. She served on the Meeting Planning Committee, and currently serves on the board as Vice President. Leslee has attended the past four GBTA Conventions, the 2018 GBTA Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C., and is slated to study for the Global Travel Professional® (GTP) Certification in 2019. She also sits on the GBTA Payment Solutions Committee. Her passion for the organizational goals and the dynamic membership has led to her desire to run for President in the next term.
Leslee enjoys mentoring the up-and-coming women leaders in her industry and has created an informal women’s trust circle group at AHC+Hospitality. She also serves on the Diversity and Inclusion committee. She is known to be an outstanding people connector.
Outside of work, Leslee loves winter activities including snowshoeing and snowmobiling, and enjoys running, kayaking, biking, and being almost anywhere “up north,” including the Upper Peninsula! She also has an unusual obsession with the architectural features of American historic asylums, specifically Kirkbride.

Mat Orrego, CEO Cornerstone Information Systems.
Mat has worked in the software and travel industry for 20 years as CEO and founder of Cornerstone Information Systems. Today Cornerstone is a global leader in travel automation technology allowing customer to streamline their fulfillment, data acquisition and business intelligence capabilities.
A graduate of Indiana University Kelly School of Business, Mat is a recognized speaker on the travel industry and an avid supporter of GBTA as a founding member of GBTA Ladders program.  He loves to mentor and encourage young professionals to grow their careers and start their own businesses. Mat is also an avid investor in a variety of enterprises including technology, manufacturing, and services businesses.  He makes his home in Bloomington, Indiana where he and his wife Beverly enjoy the good life of living in a Midwest university town surrounded by friends and family.
