We are excited to host our 3rd Quarter 2026 meeting at Hotel Carmichael in Carmel, IN! We are currently finalizing our speaker lineup and will continue our AI Pulse series. The full agenda will be shared soon.
Based on positive feedback, we’ll be bringing back our Kahoot! quizzes in a fun and engaging way. We will also provide an update on our chapter’s progress toward the 2026 goals. As always, the day will be filled with valuable education, meaningful networking, and a strong return on your investment of time and membership.
This quarter, we’ve introduced a separate complimentary registration for the networking event. You only need to sign up for this if you are not attending the Education Day. If you are registered for Education Day, your networking attendance is already included—no need to register twice. We appreciate your patience as we continue improving our website to better meet our needs.

Featuring Keynote Speaker Detective Kevin Coffey
When it comes educating the business travel community on travel and meeting risk avoidance and response techniques, Detective Kevin Coffey is one of the country’s leading experts in the field.
Detective Coffey has a unique background in the areas of travel and meeting risk. He was employed by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for 35-years, and recently retired holding the rank of Detective Sergeant.
During his long career, he became an internationally recognized expert and training consultant in crime avoidance tactics and conducts thought-provoking crime awareness seminars for organizations and associations both domestically and internationally.
A pioneer in travel crime investigations, in 1991, he founded the LAPD's Los Angeles International Airport's Crimes Investigations Detail and has been passionate about exposing others in avoiding the pitfalls of travel, including travel and meeting crime, pickpockets, as well as identity theft.
During his time on the detail, he became passionate about identifying the most common methods and techniques used by airport and hotel thieves, pickpockets, as well as other criminals who make a living targeting business and leisure travelers. For over two decades, Detective Coffey has been educating GBTA and Meeting Professional International audiences around the globe in his travel risk avoidance programs.
He has been featured on numerous TV appearances, including ABC’s “20/20”, “The Today Show”, Good Morning America, “CNN”, “CNBC”, as well as several appearances on Oprah. He’s also the author of “Travel Beware, an Undercover Cops Guide to Avoiding Travel Crime.”
